[A] Game Start


Even though this is in Draft and not public yet, we wanted to be able to start working on a DevLog for Watashi no Otouto, because... well, we've never really done that for a game before. We always kept it to ourselves what we worked on because we delt no one cared to hear about it.

Even if it ends up being true, this will be nice to look back on.

This posts begins with [A], which means that I, Aclairic, am the one writing in it. If you see a post with a different letter,  then it means that my other team mate is writing the post. Anyway, let's get started.



I love religion.

I practice voodoo, and it has roots in Christianity. I grew up in a household that tried to be Christian. But that is a long and strange story.

So, I decided I wanted to write something with that theme. I also love themes with siblings, so I know I wanted that as well. That's how is sort of all began. However, the game got shelved due to a lot of real-life things, or the creation of other games and projects, but I kept coming back to this idea. I didn't want to leave it. So I won't any longer.

My job is game creation (programming in Ren'Py), writing, and character line art. The other half of the team is the main art director, who does the character sketch, coloring, backgrounds, and other design elements.

At the moment, we are using found, creative commons or public domain assets for sound/music, etc, but we hope to change it out as we find... money. Really, as we find money or willing participants, lol. This is all our of our own time, in between jobs and all of that.
